Evaporation cools, plain and simple. Mist/fog, in a properly designed system, can be used to create a "mini-ecosystem" for your patio, conversation area or wherever. By setting up a wall of mist, you can keep the inside cool by evaporation and inhibit warmer air penetration.

Now here's where technology comes in. The smaller the water droplet, the more quickly it evaporates and cools. Applying the proper amount of water pressure through well designed, tight tolerance fittings will produce an ultra-fine mist (nearly 1/10 the diameter of a human hair).  These tiny droplets, measured in microns, evaporate almost instantly in hot dry air. Unlike many lower quality "kits" found in home centers, a quality system keeps nearby areas dry and usable.
